THE BULLIES

I'm still fuming over a couple of my collegues who think that when I take a day off for a long weekend, like I did Friday before Memorial Day, that I should stay late that Thursday before to finish all my work for the next week? What the fuck. That's why it's a day off. So that I don't have to work for 8 hours. Why should I stay late when they never do? Each person covers for someone else when the other is sick or on vacation, I cover for someone when she's off. So why should I stay late? Why in particular me when no one else ever stays late before vacationing. This is the type of subversive bullying bullshit I have to put up with from time to time and it's really fucking annoying. It makes me feel like someone is trying to discredit me, because if I don't stay late and the work doesn't get done, comments like, "well it was Val's job to do, so if it's not done, you have to talk to her." Discrediting the best worker makes the fucking slackers or incompetents look good somehow. Well, leave it to me to NOT STAY LATE and leave memos to the bosses and everyone, that I'm out for 4 days and that so and so will be in charge in my absence. HA! I love this idea. It's so beautifully contrived on my part, that I will do this every time in the future. Their comments and bullshit wont fly with me or anyone anymore. They are all single moms so therefore they feel they should be exempt from staying late one or two hours to fulfull my duties. See when I stay late for them it's just a half hour, and they resent that. They think it's not fair. Why is it only a half hour you ask...cause I don't spend my whole day socializing and wasting time like they do, so I don't need one or two hours to stay. Only they don't get it. Yuh think I should tell them, that if they kept their mouths shut, they wouldn't have to stay so late and they'd get their work done?
